Time to enter the Strathalbyn Show Spring Garden Competition

Keen gardeners from Strathalbyn, Langhorne Creek, Belvidere,  Milang, Clayton, Ashbourne, Hartley, Finniss and Woodchester are reminded that entries for the Strathalbyn Show Spring Garden Competition close next Friday, September 8.

Judging is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, two weeks before the Show.

Rural and urban gardens are eligible.

Classes in this year’s competition include front and back garden, large or rural living garden, young garden, first time entered, small or restricted garden, productive garden, most colourful garden, spick and span or low maintenance garden, business presentation or community garden, any other type of garden and a most improved award, with rosettes and trophies being offered as some of the prizes.

A display of winning gardens will be on view at the Strathalbyn Show on Monday, October 2, with presentations held at 3.30pm.

Once again, the competition is sponsored by major sponsor Alexandrina Council.

Entry forms are available from local nurseries, businesses and council or the show website.
