Australia finished sixth at the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Germany last week, with Hindmarsh Island paddler Chris Welch enjoying the experience.
Welch, aged 57, competed in the Senior B division, taking part in all races including open and mixed standard boat categories – 2000m, 1000m, 500m and 200m.
His best finish was a fourth placing.
