Milang veteran Greg Hopgood was among the returned soldiers from the 1st Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) to recently receive an award for their deployment to Somalia 32 years ago.
The Meritorious Unit Citation recognised the solders’ professionalism, conduct and sacrifice, from December 1992 to May 1993.
