Goolwa surfer John Amos is likely riding his final wave in the 2025 Australian Surf Championships longboard division this week, held at Cabarita Beach in New South Wales.
The 75-year-old – who won the Australian National Titles for over 70 men in 2022 – has represented South Australia in the competition for about a decade, and was a finalist in last year’s competition.
