Power of purple on display at schools

Goolwa Secondary College staff and students Mia Francis, Holly Lines, Lexi Klaube, Jai Bayley, Rowan Sims, Mason Dunn, Claire Murphy, Emily Rumbelow, Shasta Annells, Lilly Scollin, Zoe Harris, Ariah Ostigh, Luke Mount, Mackenzie Cogan, Kristin Anderson and Janae Mason celebrate the school’s Wear it Purple Day last week.

Purple was the colour of choice at local schools last Friday in support of diversity.

Celebrated on the last Friday of the August each year, Wear it Purple Day is a global movement that strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for young LGBTQIA+ people by encouraging communities to don purple clothing for the day.
