Changes to Alexandrina kerbside collections
Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor, and District Council of Yankalilla residents will see changes to bin collections from July.

Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority (FRWA) would like to announce a significant change to its kerbside collection schedule, set to take effect from July 1, 2023.

The change in schedule will increase efficiencies and reduce green-house gas emissions, while simplifying the collection calendar for the community.

All residents within Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor and District Council of Yankalilla, will begin fortnightly collections with a general waste bin (blue lid) collection the first week of July, then a recycling bin and green organics bin on the same day in the second week of July.

This change will mean that some areas will receive two general waste collections in a row, where their last collection in June is a general waste.

For example, this will occur for residents in central Victor Harbor township, Strathalbyn township and Mount Compass townships.

Some areas will also experience a collection day change.

In the in Alexandrina Council area, Chiton and a small section of Port Elliot will move to a Tuesday collection.

Goolwa/Goolwa South, Currency Creek, Tooperang, Mosquito Hill will move to a Wednesday collection. Goolwa North will move to a Friday collection.

In City of Victor Harbor council area: Encounter Bay will move to a Monday and Hayborough and McCracken will move to a Tuesday collection.

In the DC Yankalilla, most residents will experience a collection day change and strongly encouraged to familiarise themselves with the updated schedule beginning July 1 at the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority website (www.frwa.com.au).
